- [x] 3. Web Audio: kick, snare, closed hat, open hat, clap, tone — all synthesised, no samples
- [x] 4. Transport: Start/Stop button, lookahead scheduler, playhead sweeping at tempo
- [x] 5. Grid lights up as it plays (current step column highlighted), silent-screen readable
- [x] 6. Tempo control (BPM slider/number), applies live
- [x] 7. Preset beats (a few classic patterns) loadable into the grid
- [x] 8. Final check: page loads clean via check-page
